Course Details

BACHELOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY (B.P.T)

DURATION : 4 Years 6 Months  

Out of these 4 ½ years, 4 years are attributed for classroom teaching and supervised laboratory and clinical training in hospital set up. Remaining 6 months are for mandatory internship. This is in accordance with the guidelines issued by Indian Association of Physiotherapists. 


INTAKE : 50  


ELIGIBILITY:  

  1. Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply. 
  2. Candidates should have passed HSC or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 35% mark in each subject. 
  3. Vocational stream is not eligible for admission. 
  4. Should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.  


Scope for a Physiotherapist after graduation:


  • Start own Physiotherapy Clinic   
  • Get attached to different hospitals   
  • Be an important team member of any rehabilitation team in treating neurology patients, orthopaedic patients, patients suffering from cardio – reparatory disorders, sports injuries and in promoting regular fitness program.   
  • Pursue post graduate studies in specialities like Neurology, Orthopaedics, cardio-respiratory conditions, Community based rehabilitation etc.   
  • Be a faculty in any physiotherapy college.
